You have many options when looking for a dive instructor team to go with. In fact, some might say there are too many options. We are not here to say anything bad about our competition. We can only share with you our philosophy and what we think sets us apart and let you decide. If you’re unsure, then read what some of our guests have said about us in the past. At Dive Hero, we want to give you our best.
Our best effort, our best service, but most of all we want to give you the best of us. To do this isn’t easy, because it takes time. In today’s world of wanting the biggest results in the least amount of time, and paying as little as possible, it can be a challenge to satisfy every guest, every time.
We do our absolute best to meet the needs of our guests without sacrificing our own standards and ethics. We have worked for many places where we were told to do things that went against our own better judgement. That was one of the biggest reasons we wanted to start Dive Hero. We have personally witnessed things that were not only a blatant violation of standards, but were downright scary and dangerous. It may have been the local custom, and thankfully we have never witnessed a tragic dive accident. However, it was with this in mind that we strive to embody the best practices of diving. When faced with a difficult situation, we simply ask ourselves if it would be good enough for our own family, friends, or ourselves. If it’s not, then we find a different way to do it, or we decline to do it all together. This may sound counter productive, but at the end of the day, we are more concerned with doing things the right way, than we are with trying to make money by any means possible. We fully recognize that this may cause you to go with another dive team, which is your choice of course, but if you are diving with Dive Hero, you can be assured that you will have every reason to know that you’ve made the right choice.
What sets us apart
No matter who you are diving with, ask questions, ask for verification, don’t just take their word for it…let them show you. It’s easy to say all the ‘right things’ and if it’s the truth it’s also easy to prove it.
- The person guiding or teaching you to dive will be a certified PADI professional dive instructor with current levels of membership within the PADI system, and can recite their PADI pro number from memory as every professional diver should be able to do.
- Our instructors pay for professional liability insurance in the event that you are injured due to their negligence. We can also provide you with 3rd party dive insurance of your own to cover any possible situation regardless of fault.
- We treat you less like a guest and more like family. You're more than just another customer when you dive with us.
- Our instructor team goes above and beyond. In fun dives and in training courses, we don't just meet the minimum requirements. We want to stand out from the crowd and it shows.
- We spend a lot of our time and energy on conservation efforts. So by choosing to dive with Dive Hero you are in effect making a donation towards a cleaner and healthier ocean.
